Anika Noi Rose is an American actress and performer, is an eminent name in the world of entertainment. Her most well-known role is her role as Tiana the first Disney African-American princess in The Princess and the Frog. Rose was named as a Disney Legend in 2011. Rose is well known for her part as Lorrell Robinson in Dreamgirls. Anika Noni Rose (born on September 6, 1972) is an American actor and a singer. Best known as the voice for Tiana as Tiana in The Princess and the Frog The original African American Disney Princess. Disney Legend was bestowed upon her in the year 2011. The same year, she was recognized for her role on the screen in Dreamgirls (2006) in which she was awarded the Academy Award for Best Picture. On the Starz show Power she was the character LaVerne Jukebox Ganner. Her performances in the theatre are also well-known, including her role as Emmie Thbodeaux from the Broadway show Caroline or Change (2004) which won her an award for the Tony Award Best Featured actress in a Musical. She was also nominated for her nomination for Tony Award Best Featured actor in the play Broadway revival of A Raisin in the Sun.
